JOURNEY WITH PURPOSE

Isibindi Africa is built on community-minded conservation, which means that the people, the living creatures and the environment are an inherent part of the beauty and the sustainability of that place.

LOCATION

A remote paradise only accessible to those that dream of adventure and barefoot luxury. Set right on the beach in the heart of the Isimangaliso Wetland Park, and a short drive from Lake Sibaya -the largest fresh water lake in South Africa. Being so remote, you would need a suitable 4x4 vehicle to self-drive to our lodge. Alternatively, we offer 4x4 transfers from LIBRODI LODGE in Sodwana Bay twice daily, guests can leave their vehicles in a secure complex complete with a coffee shop and spa facilities should you arrive earlier than expected. Transfers must be pre-booked with our reservations office, pickup times are 12h00 or 15h00 and the transfer takes approximately an hour. Our purpose drives us all at Isibindi Africa Lodges, and so we are committed to incorporating eco-conscious systems and initiatives wherever possible, this includes:

Removing single use plastics which includes replacing plastic water bottles with a reusable bottle for each guest

Investing in large solar energy farms

Creating micro-economies in neighbouring communities to supply our lodges

Recycling unused lodge food into feeding schemes for neighbouring creches

Refusing to serve seafood that is not ethically harvested
